Airports Council International \u2013 North America (ACI-NA) has announced\nthe election of new leaders across the organization. Danette Bewley, President\nand CEO of the Tucson Airport Authority was elected to the ACI-NA Board of\nDirectors. Jesus Saenz, Jr., Director of Airports for the San Antonio Airport\nSystem, was elected to the ACI-NA U.S. Policy Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cACI-NA\u2019s successes in Washington and Ottawa are because of\nthe proven leadership of our members,\u201d said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M.\nBurke. \u201cWe look forward to working with Danette and Jesus and leveraging their\nbroad industry expertise and a deep understanding of the unique challenges our\nindustry faces. With their support, ACI-NA remains committed to our mission to\nadvocate policies and provides services that strengthen the ability of airports\nto serve their passengers, customers, and communities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 30 years of experience in all facets of commercial\nairport management, Bewley was named President and CEO of the Tucson Airport\nAuthority in July 2019. Earlier in her career, she held management positions\nwith the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority and\nthe Port of San Diego\/San Diego County Regional Airport Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saenz, a 24-year veteran of airport management, joined the\nSan Antonio Airport System as Director of Airports in February 2020. Prior to\nthat, he was the Chief Operating Officer for the Houston Airport System. In\nthat role, Saenz oversaw all aspects of the management of William P. Hobby\nAirport, George Bush International Airport and the Houston Spaceport. His\nexperience includes leading operations, maintenance, safety, security, budget\nmanagement and capital improvement projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
