John Calcagno replaces\nSimon Caldecott, who recently announced his retirement as President and CEO of\nPiper Aircraft after serving in the role for more than ten years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI know that I speak for everyone at Piper Aircraft in\nthanking Simon for his leadership and tireless dedication to the company,\u201d said\nCalcagno. \u201cI am incredibly excited to assume this new role and for the future\nof the company. I look forward to leading the company and continuing our great\ntradition of precision manufacturing and delivering best-in-class airplanes,\u201d\nCalcagno said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Senior Executive<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calcagno is a seasoned and successful executive with\nextensive experience in the finance, operations, distribution, and sales areas.\nHe has served as the long tenured Chief Financial Officer of Piper, having been\non the Piper team for the past 11 years. He has also had roles of increasing\nresponsibility throughout his career at The Acerra Consortium, Alltel (Supply)\nCommunications Products, Coca-Cola, and C.R. Bard. Calcagno began his career in\nthe audit practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Calcagno holds a Bachelor of\nScience in Accountancy, with minor emphasis in Political Science from Southern\nIllinois University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
