The act also provides\nconcessions grant funds that will be used to provide aid, such as economic\nrelief from rent and minimum annual guarantees, to airport concessionaries and\nother service providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Daniel K. Inouye International Airport will receive\nthe most funding in the state at $17.3 million, with an additional $2.1 million\nfor concessions. Kahului Airport will receive the second-most funding at $8.2\nmillion, with about $800,000 more for concessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grant awards for airports across Maui, Molokai and Lanai\nare as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Kahului Airport, $8,213,524; $812,106 for\nconcessions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Molokai Airport, $1,017,411; $10,977 for\nconcessions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Lanai Airport, $1,016,495; $10,399 for\nconcessions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Hana Airport, $9,000.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Kalaupapa Airport, $9,000.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The DOT previously offered rent deferral to airport\ntenants between April 1 and Oct. 31, 2020, to offset the decline in air\ntraffic, and waived landing fees for Molokai and Lanai airports for a one-year\nperiod starting March 1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The state Department of Transportation Airports Division announced recently that five airports on Maui, Molokai and Lanai will receive just over $11 million in COVID-19 relief funds.
