Nelson will be an outstanding NASA administrator, and\nwe strongly support his nomination to the position,\u201d said NBAA President and\nCEO Ed Bolen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2016, NBAA bestowed its Meritorious Service to Aviation Award to Nelson, in recognition of his unwavering support for business aviation throughout his time in Congress. Nelson has also been a frequent speaker at NBAA\u2019s Business Aviation Convention &amp; Exhibition (NBAA-BACE). Nelson<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lifelong Floridian, Nelson served in the state legislature\nfrom 1972-1978 before representing Florida\u2019s 9th congressional district in the\nU.S. House of Representatives from 1978-1990.
