She will report to MSCAA President and CEO Scott Brockman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floyd has been employed by the City of Memphis since 2019,\nmost recently serving as Deputy City Attorney. Before joining the City of\nMemphis, she worked for more than eight years as a senior associate for Wyatt,\nTarrant and Combs LLC in Memphis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAmber has a wealth of legal experience in both the private\nand public sectors,\u201d said Brockman. \u201cHer experience, achievements and community\ninvolvement make her an ideal addition to our leadership team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floyd earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the\nUniversity of Memphis, where she graduated with summa cum laude honors. She\nreceived her Juris Doctorate from the University of Memphis\u2019 Cecil C. Humphreys\nSchool of Law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floyd is a member of the Memphis Bar Association and the\nTennessee Bar Association, as well as the Tennessee Supreme Court\u2019s Access to\nJustice Commission. She also serves on the board of directors for the Ben F.\nJones Chapter of the National Bar Association. Floyd was named one of the\nAmerican Bar Association\u2019s \u201cOn the Rise-Top 40 Young Lawyers\u201d in 2017 and was the\nrecipient of the National Bar Association\u2019s Ben F.
