It has been\noperating as an authorized Kodiak service center, and the expansion of its\nresponsibilities to the TBM underscores Daher\u2019s integration of these two\nairplanes in the company\u2019s single-engine turboprop product line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MecanAir is specialized in the maintenance and repair of\naircraft weighing under 12,500 lbs., as well as the overhaul of turboprop\nengines and accessories. In addition to its Ecuvillens Airport location, the\ncompany has maintenance workshops at the Swiss airports of Yverdon-les-Bains\nand Grenchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the expanded agreement with Daher\u2019s Aircraft Division,\nMecanAir is now capable of handling all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance\nservices for Kodiak and TBM aircraft, and airworthiness-related\ncontrol\/management under the authorization as a Continuous Airworthiness\nMonitoring Organization (CAMO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is another important step in enhancing our global\nNetwork after Daher\u2019s acquisition of Kodiak in 2019,\u201d explained Nicolas\nChabbert, the Senior Vice President of Daher\u2019s Aircraft Division, and the CEO\nof Kodiak Aircraft. \u201cWith MecanAir\u2019s dual Kodiak and TBM authorization today \u2013\nto be followed by other service centers in the future \u2013 customers will benefit\nfrom more comprehensive coverage and the increased synergy of our Network\nworldwide.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rapha\u00c3\u00abl Ma\u00c3\u00aetre, the Vice President of Customer Support for\nDaher\u2019s Aircraft Division, added: \u201cAs a key member of services for the Kodiak\naircraft family for 10 years, MecanAir distinguished itself as an extremely\ncapable support partner. Our Kodiak Care team, led by Dave Schuck, has been\nvery pleased with MecanAir\u2019s responsiveness at its own facilities, as well as the\nresponse to off-site maintenance calls. The next step was extending MecanAir\u2019s\ncapability to the TBM.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MecanAir founding-CEO Michel Devaud is a well-known\nprofessional who developed a range of auto racing engines in the Can-Am and\nF5000 series for teams that included McLaren and Lola during the 1970s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an active private pilot, Devaud has built his own\naircraft, and he set up an aviation engine overhaul operation to work on\nairplane engines.
