Liberty University Provost and Chief Academic Officer Scott\nHicks announced that interim dean, Dr. Rick Roof, has officially been named\ndean of the School of Aeronautics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Rick Roof<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Roof brings a vast amount of industry and education\nexperience to the School of Aeronautics. After serving nine years in the Air\nForce as an avionics technician and operations researcher, Roof spent 20 years\nin senior positions in information technology, manufacturing, and publishing.\nHe led an internet start-up company and was president and CEO of a specialized\nair carrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roof\u2019s professional flying began with his role as Director\nof Flight Operations-ISR for Dynamic Aviation, where he also led their\nleadership and organizational development program. He then served as dean of\nstudents and chair of the Leadership and Justice program at San Diego Christian\nCollege. He has served at Liberty University since 2012 as an online adjunct\nand instructional mentor for the School of Business, School of Engineering, and\nSchool of Aeronautics. Most recently, Roof served as online chair for Liberty\u2019s\nSchool of Aeronautics before becoming the interim dean in July 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
