{"id":17444,"date":"2021-01-19T13:43:31","date_gmt":"2021-01-19T13:43:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=17444"},"modified":"2021-01-19T13:43:33","modified_gmt":"2021-01-19T13:43:33","slug":"gama-nata-applaud-launch-of-faa-dynamic-regulatory-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/gama-nata-applaud-launch-of-faa-dynamic-regulatory-system\/%20","title":{"rendered":"GAMA, NATA Applaud Launch of FAA Dynamic Regulatory System"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), and\nthe National Air Transportation Association (NATA), commend the Federal\nAviation Administration (FAA) for its launch of the Dynamic Regulatory System\n(DRS), which houses all regulatory guidance material from the Office of\nAviation Safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The much-anticipated DRS provides a centralized public\ndatabase of regulatory safety guidance materials, which will benefit the\ngeneral aviation manufacturing, maintenance and repair industries as well as\nthe FAA,&#8221; said Pete Bunce, GAMA President and CEO. &#8220;GAMA and its\nmember companies have been advocating for this critical tool and we were\npleased to be a resource throughout its development and have the opportunity to\nprovide feedback during the testing phase. We have also appreciated the\ncongressional support for this important initiative. The industry has been\neager to use a tool that helps promote consistency in regulatory interpretation\nand application by making regulations, policy and guidance readily available.\nWe look forward to the continued evolution and improvements to the DRS.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DRS meets the criteria of the congressionally mandated\nrecommendation to develop a single AVS electronic database resource, organized\nby rule, to allow agency and industry users access to relevant rules and\nguidance that is also available to the public. According to the FAA, the DRS\ncombines more than 65 document types from a dozen repositories into a single\nsearchable application, including all information found in the Flight Standards\nInformation System (FSIMS) and the Regulatory Guidance System (RGL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen it comes to safety, both speed and reliability are\nimperative. NATA is pleased to participate in initiatives that greatly improve\nthe access to and consistency of valuable safety information and guidance.
