The first facility\nis Rock Island Arsenal located between Davenport, Iowa and Rocks Island,\nIllinois. The second facility is Biometric Technology Center in Clarksburg,\nWest Virginia. Restrictions on these Department of Defense facilities are to\naddress concerns about drone activity over security sensitive facilities.\nInformation on the FAA Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), FDC 0\/5116, can be found on\nthe FAA\u2019s UAS Data Delivery System (UDDS) website. This website contains the\ntext of FDC 0\/5116 (click on \u201cUAS NOTAM FDC 0\/5116\u201d on scroll bar along the top\nof the page).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UAS operators are strongly advised to review these NOTAMs on\nFAA\u2019s UDDS website, which defines these restrictions, and all of the currently\ncovered locations. Further down the page is an interactive map (\u201cMap of FAA UAS\nData\u201d) displaying restricted airspace throughout the U.S. Zooming in will\nenable viewers to click on the new DOD locations and see the specific\nrestrictions. Each of the locations are in yellow since the restrictions are\npending until the Dec. 30 effective date, at which point they will become red.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The restrictions will also be included in the FAA\u2019s B4UFLY\nmobile app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UAS operators who violate these flight restrictions may be\nsubject to enforcement action, including potential civil penalties and criminal\ncharges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The FAA considers requests by eligible federal security\nagencies for UAS-specific flight restrictions using its authority under 14 CFR\n\u00c2\u00a7 99.7.
