Prior to Mindspace, Thein worked at\nSodaStream as head of global business development, creating partnerships with\nprominent brands such as PepsiCo, Samsung and KitchenAid. In September 2020, Flytrex announced a\nbenchmark partnership with Walmart to bring backyard drone delivery to\nFayetteville, North Carolina. Earlier in the year, Flytrex partnered with EASE\nDrones in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to deliver necessities to residents\nin Grand Forks, North Dakota, helping address the growing health crisis by\nkeeping citizens in the safety of their own homes and reducing crowding and\nunnecessary contact at local stores. Flytrex has also been a participant in the\nFederal Aviation Authority\u2019s (FAA) UAS Integration Pilot Program (IPP) since\n2018 and was most recently selected for the FAA\u2019s subsequent initiative, BEYOND\nto work with the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) as well as the\nNorth Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and the North Dakota\nDepartment of Transportation (NDDOT) to help tackle the remaining challenges of\nUAS integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am thrilled to be joining the dynamic, groundbreaking\nteam at Flytrex, especially at a time when on-demand delivery solutions have\nnever been more pertinent,\u201d said Thein, incoming COO at Flytrex. \u201cIt is\nthrilling to witness the market\u2019s rapid growth and to see so many companies\nadopt drone delivery, a swifter, more affordable, more sustainable solution on\nits way to becoming an industry standard.
