The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has\nannounced two new, virtual events for the first quarter of 2021, which will\nbring people together with speakers, educational content and other offerings\nthat will provide a roadmap for surviving, and even thriving, in an\never-changing environment. The new events will take the place of the in-person\nconferences planned for Q1 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NBAA\u2019s new Flight Operations Conference, scheduled for Feb.\n23-25, will gather schedulers, dispatchers, pilots and others focused on\nmission planning, including for international operations. Separately, the\nassociation\u2019s new Leadership Summit, taking place March 24-25, will bring\ntogether current and emerging business aviation innovators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese new events will offer exciting opportunities for\nindustry professionals to refine and rethink their business planning, and even\ntheir very definition of success, in a world upended by the COVID-19 pandemic,\u201d\nsaid Mike Nichols, CAM, CAE and NBAA senior vice president of strategy and\ninnovation. \u201cWith these conferences, we are going to plan not just for working\nthrough the current crisis, but for leading out of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These new, virtual NBAA GO events will be hosted on the most\nadvanced and immersive technology platform our industry has seen. The platform\nwill allow attendees, presenters, sponsors and exhibitors to network\nstrategically through direct person-to-person meeting rooms, virtual 3D exhibit\nbooths and dedicated subject matter lounges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nichols noted that sessions featured at the NBAA GO Flight\nOperations Conference will focus on a range of essential topics, including\nin-depth weather planning, tax compliance, charter operations, new protocols as\nwe emerge from the pandemic and a world-wide review of constantly shifting\ninternational requirements for business aviation. Attendees will also have\naccess to a dynamic exhibit hall, where a host of virtual exhibitors will\nfeature new products, share information about how technologies and practices\nare evolving \u2013 in some cases on a permanent basis \u2013 and address ground and flight-planning\nsupport, technology solutions and other business aviation services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, the NBAA GO Leadership Summit will address\nstrategies for leading through challenging times and circumstances. The\nspeakers will be recognized experts on topics including change leadership\nstrategies, preserving team emotional intelligence, promoting health and\nwell-being and ensuring connectivity and accountability. Several have authored\nwidely acclaimed books, which will be provided in electronic or hard-bound format\nto Leadership Summit participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The NBAA GO events incorporate enhanced networking and\nattendee engagement in the conference program, including attendee guidance by\nindustry leaders, bonus content offers and resources from speakers,\npeer-to-peer learning opportunities with a focus on diversity, equity and\ninclusion and content specifically designed for emerging leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
