To be considered, the airport must exemplify exceptional\nsafety, aesthetics and airport management, including the areas of runway\nstandards and surfaces, security of the terminal and airfield, general\nappearance and impression of airport and its facilities, staff professionalism,\noverall efficiency, innovation, services for travelers, financial stability,\nand compliance with all state, federal rules and regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Southwest Florida International Airport served more than\n10.2 million passengers in 2019 and is one of the top 50 U.S. airports for\npassenger traffic.
