The\nrecent initiative to get a 2nd FBO, the new taxiway markings and the lighting\nupgrade were noticed by tenants. The lighting project replaced 40-year-old\nincandescent lights with brighter LEDs which reduced the airside electric bill\nby over 70%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the lighting upgrade project neared completion, folks\ntook it upon themselves to take one of the old taxiway lights, strip it,\nrepaint it, wire it, and mount it on a really nice wooden base for presentation\nto Coffman with his name on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Owned and operated by the Town of Leesburg, the Leesburg\nExecutive Airport (JYO) is the second busiest General Aviation (GA) airport in\nthe Commonwealth of Virginia. Located 35 miles from Washington DC, Leesburg\nExecutive Airport is a designated reliever airport for Washington-Dulles\nInternational Airport. \n\n\n\nLeesburg Executive Airport has a 5,500-foot\ngrooved asphalt runway with a 70,000-pound dual-wheel capacity. A new\nInstrument Landing System was commissioned in March 2011, supplementing the\nexisting GPS and WAAS approaches.
