{"id":16749,"date":"2020-10-30T21:59:28","date_gmt":"2020-10-30T21:59:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=16749"},"modified":"2020-10-30T21:59:31","modified_gmt":"2020-10-30T21:59:31","slug":"canadian-business-aviation-association-joins-growing-sustainability-coalition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/international-news\/canadian-business-aviation-association-joins-growing-sustainability-coalition\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Canadian Business Aviation Association Joins Growing Sustainability Coalition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The global Business Aviation Sustainable Aviation Fuel\nCoalition (SAF Coalition) has welcomed the inclusion of the Canadian Business\nAviation Association (CBAA) , as part of a growing, unified effort behind a\nforward-looking business aviation sustainability agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs the coalition has made clear, SAF is key to the\nindustry\u2019s goal of continued emissions reduction,\u201d said CBAA President and CEO\nAnthony Norejko. \u201cSAF may sound too good to be true, but it is true: it will\ndramatically reduce carbon emissions, and help the industry go further, faster\nin reducing an already low carbon footprint. We are pleased to be part of a\ngroup that is ensuring this vision becomes reality with each passing day.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CBAA joins the coalition amidst a year that has included a first-of-its-kind Business Aviation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bigmarker.com\/series\/virtual-2020-business-aviati\/series_summit\">Virtual Sustainability Summit<\/a>, the introduction of SAF for business aviation as part of the World Economic Forum, and the unveiling of a resource -Fueling the Future \u2013 which provides a roadmap for accelerating the production, availability and use of the sustainable fuels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The coalition has also partnered with other organizations in\npromoting aviation sustainability, including the International Civil Aviation\nOrganization, and the Air Transport Action Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The coalition is now focused on legislative, market-based\nand infrastructure-focused initiatives that catalyze SAF availability and use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About the Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable\nAviation Fuel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation\nFuel (SAF Coalition) is a coalition of leading international aviation groups\nincluding the Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative (CAAFI), the\nCanadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA), the European Business Aviation\nAssociation (EBAA), the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), the\nInternational Business Aviation Council (IBAC), the National Air Transportation\nAssociation (NATA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA).
