Within the first week, this free, year-round experience for girls ages\n8-17 has already connected thousands of participants in 55 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cOur goal in\ndelivering a virtual experience for this year\u2019s Girls in Aviation Day was to\nextend our reach and inspire girls-no matter where they live or learn,\u201d says\nWAI CEO Allison McKay. \u201cLast year, our in-person events reached girls in 18\ncountries. This year, the app has already tripled our reach and connected with\ngirls all around the world providing them with access to hours of inspiring\ncontent to expand their knowledge about all the opportunities in aviation and\naerospace.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The thousands of participants in 55 countries include\nArgentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Bulgaria,\nCanada, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic,\nEcuador, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Guam, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy,\nJamaica, Japan, Kenya, Kosovo, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama,\nPeru, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, South\nAfrica, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Trinidad and Tobago, Syria, Tunisia, United\nArab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, US Virgin Islands, Uzbekistan,\nVenezuela, and Zambia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While merchandise kits are sold out, WAI encourages\nparticipants to enroll by October 31, 2020, and access these digital resources\nthrough the AFG App. Social media challenges and prizes will continue this\nmonth, and the winners of the seven contests will be announced by November 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Available to all interested in aviation\/aerospace and STEM,\nthe AFG App is the tool WAI is utilizing to deliver valuable content and\nresources including career videos, virtual museum tours, scholarship\ninformation, hands-on activities, book readings in multiple languages, as well\nas digital issues of Aviation for Girls magazine.
