The course brings together TSI, NATA, and other industry aviation safety experts with the shared mission of developing skilled, qualified, and certified Air Transport Safety Managers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe future of aviation safety hinges on collaboration and\nthe exchange of best practices and data,\u201d stated NATA SVP Ryan Waguespack.\n\u201cThis brand-new immersive training is crafted by the experts to cultivate\nsuperior Safety Managers who will be able to showcase their achievement with a\ncertificate from a respected organization focused on safety. This collaboration\nwith TSI allows us to take our mission of empowering aviation business safety\nto a new level. We are grateful for our relationship with the US DOT to be able\nto offer this first of its kind course.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our goal is to provide quality, cutting edge training\nrequired to enhance safety for aviation operators and the traveling public. Our\nalliance with NATA provides an extraordinary opportunity to do just that,\u201d said\nMr. D Smith, TSI Aviation Safety Division Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon successful completion, candidates will receive the SMS\nand Aviation Safety Program Manager certificate. In addition, NATA Members will\nearn a NATA Air Transport Safety Manager Certification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This course is a \u201cHow To\u201d design, develop, implement and\nsustain an effective and verifiable aviation safety management system (SMS).\nDeveloped to meet an organization\u2019s immediate and future aviation safety needs,\ncourse topics include: Fundamentals of Safety Program Management, State of the\nArt Safety Risk Management for flight and ground operations &#8211; using the Bow-Tie\nmodel, understanding and conducting Internal and external evaluations and\naudits for Safety Assurance, communicating and Promoting Safety throughout the\norganization, fostering and measuring a positive Safety Culture, Safety Policy\nrequirements, understanding and controlling human error \u2013 using the HFACS\nmodel, measuring safety using Quantum Safety Metrics, and use of current\nFederal Aviation Administration System Tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Aviation Service Providers including; Air Transport\nCharter Operators, Aviation Maintenance or MRO\u2019s, Ground Service (including\nRefueling) Providers, Corporate Flight Departments, FAA 135, 121, 145, 141 125,\nOperators, Fixed Base Operators, US and International Governmental Agencies\nwith Aviation Operations or that oversee Aviation Operations are encouraged to\nregister.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Air Transportation Association, (NATA) in conjunction with the US Department of Transportation\u2019s Safety Institute (TSI), announced the creation of a new Air Transport Safety Manager Program.
