Registration is now open for the Federal Aviation\nAdministration\u2019s first virtual International Rotorcraft Safety Conference,\nwhich will take place Oct. 27 through Oct 29 to explore ways to reduce the\nnational and international helicopter accident rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leaders from the FAA’s Aircraft Certification and Flight\nStandards Services will open the conference, followed by programs for the\nentire helicopter community. The first day will include presentations about\ncoping with the aftermath of a helicopter accident, the consequences of failing\nto follow procedures, the impact of drones, and the benefits of safety\nmanagement systems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next two days will focus on maintenance and operations.\nOn Oct. 28, mechanics will receive programming designed by experts from\nSchweizer, Bell, Airbus, and Robinson helicopter companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Oct. 29, programming for pilots will include topics\nregarding human factors, helicopter safety ratings, accident prevention and investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The conference is directed at rotorcraft pilots, mechanics,\noperators, small company owners, government regulators and industry executives\nfrom the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and many other locations. The\nevent will offer Inspection Authorization and FAA AMT and WINGS credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
