Unmanned Safety Institute (USI), has teamed with Civil Air Patrol (CAP) to address unmanned aerial systems (UAS) safety and education nationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CAP and USI have agreed to cooperate on enhancing aviation\nand UAS safety and education at every level of both partnering organizations,\nincluding communications and coordination with other agencies and groups\nthroughout the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCivil Air Patrol provides a valuable and important pathway\nfor the pilots who will become a significant portion of the military and\ncommercial workforce for both manned and unmanned aviation,\u201d said Josh Olds,\nUSI president and co-founder. \u201cUSI is honored to work with CAP on the\ndevelopment of a lasting working relationship focused on exploring and\ndeveloping opportunities for expanded aviation and UAS safety education to CAP\nand other USI members.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CAP, the U.S. Air Force auxiliary, is committed to advancing\nsafety in aviation and ensuring that the growing UAS sector benefits from\naviation safety best practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the new agreement with CAP, USI is creating\nspecial offerings for students involved in CAP curricula in middle school and\nhigh school, as well as home school programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
