Murphy advised the FAA&#8217;s Southern Region Management Team during a conference call Wednesday evening, that he will retire from the FAA at the end of September after 44-plus years of service spanning 5 Regions, FAA Headquarters and 3 tours at the FAA Academy. This includes 21 years as a Senior Executive and the last 11 years as the Regional Administrator in Northwest Mountain and Southern Regions. &#8220;It has been both an honor and pleasure to work with many FAA and aviation professionals during my career,&#8221; said Murphy. &#8220;I will always value the lasting personal and professional friendships that resulted.&#8221;<br \/>\n<!--break--><\/p>\n<div class=\"field_attachment\">\n<div><b>Attachment:<\/b><\/div>\n<p><a href=\"\/\"><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Douglas R.
