The Port of Huntsville announces Barbie Patterson Peek as its Director of Business Development following an extensive national search. The newly developed position will lead and direct the business development efforts for all entities within the Port of Huntsville \u2013 Huntsville International Airport, The International Intermodal Center, and Jetplex Industrial Park. Peek had previously served for twenty years as Director of Marketing for the organization.<\/p>\n
\u201cBarbie is a very talented senior marketing professional who has lead the direction and execution of our air service development program for many years,\u201d said Dr. Carl Gessler Jr., chairman of the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority (HMCAA). \u201cShe has done an exceptional job overseeing the marketing and public relations activities for Port of Huntsville including building strategic alliances and maintaining the Regional Partnership program.\u201d

A native of Huntsville, Ala., Peek has over twenty-nine years experience in marketing, business development, market research\/analysis, communications, promotions\/advertising, public relations, customer service, and brand\/image management. <\/p>\n
Peek graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in business administration. She is active in the American Association of Airport Executives and Airports Council International \u2013 North America. Peek also supports and serves on many local community boards and committees.<\/p>\n
