The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association recently\nannounced a new initiative called the Flight Training Experience Project in\nplace of the AOPA Flight Training Experience Awards and the deadline to enter\nis fast approaching. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cEven though many schools have had to close their doors\nduring the pandemic, we believe it is important to celebrate the value and\nsignificance of the flight training community in this difficult time,\u201d said\nChris Moser, AOPA senior director of flight training education. \u201cWith the\nproject, we will highlight the inspiring stories of the flight training\ncommunity, which has come together in support of one another to overcome the\nobstacles of COVID-19 and a struggling economy, and proved resilient in the face\nof adversity.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Flight Training Experience Project is soliciting video\nstories from the flight training community that show the people who inspire and\ndemonstrate the resilience of the industry. Schools, students, and instructors\nare asked to record a 45-second or less video and post it on social media\n(YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or TikTok) with the hashtag\n#FTEProject. Select videos and stories will be highlighted at the annual\nRedbird Migration event in October and through AOPA\u2019s news and media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cInstead of fostering competition, we believe this is the\nmoment to build community, and we are excited to celebrate and recognize the\nvital work of flight schools,\u201d Moser said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
