{"id":15850,"date":"2020-06-28T22:17:46","date_gmt":"2020-06-28T22:17:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saj.pachecostudios.com?p=15850"},"modified":"2020-06-28T22:17:48","modified_gmt":"2020-06-28T22:17:48","slug":"gama-and-eurocae-sign-cooperation-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/international-news\/gama-and-eurocae-sign-cooperation-agreement\/%20","title":{"rendered":"GAMA and EUROCAE Sign Cooperation Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) and\nthe European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment (EUROCAE) have agreed to\nwork together on developing aviation industry standards. The Memorandum of Understanding,\nsigned recently, enables the two organizations to address issues such as hybrid\nelectric propulsion, VTOL, cybersecurity, and will speed up the implementation\nof new technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) provides a framework\nfor cooperation between the two organizations. These include exchanging\ninformation, sharing expertise and best practices, and cross-participation in\nworking groups. As a first step, GAMA joined EUROCAE as a Full Member earlier\nin 2020 in recognition of the efforts of both organizations to enhance aviation\nand promote strong cooperation in developing industry standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cGAMA looks forward to working closely with EUROCAE to\nfurther the development of industry standards. Through this collaboration, both\nGAMA and EUROCAE will be able to promote the important interests and activities\nof the aviation industry and our members. This partnership will help advance\nthe exciting future development of the global general and business aviation\nindustry,\u201d said Pete Bunce, GAMA President and CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GAMA is already actively involved in the EUROCAE Working\nGroup on VTOL and will join other working groups in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EUROCAE is the European leader in the development of\nworldwide recognized industry standards for aviation. EUROCAE develops\nstandards by industry\/members for the industry needs that build upon the state\nof the art expertise of our&nbsp; members and\naddress the global aviation challenges, are fit for purpose to be adopted\ninternationally and support the operational, development and regulatory\nprocesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EUROCAE Secretary General, Christian Schleifer-Heing\u00c3\u00a4rtner,\nsaid, \u201cWe see a great opportunity work with GAMA, to complement each other\u2019s\nworking structure and to collaborate on the many areas of common interest.\nGAMA, as the voice of the general aviation community, will be able to raise the\nperspective of the general aviation manufacturers in the standards development\nprocess.
