Kelly Campbell<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kelly Campbell, A.A.E., Executive Director of Aviation at\nthe Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport took office today as Chair of\nthe American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) for 2020-2021. Founded in\n1928, AAAE is the world\u2019s largest professional organization representing\nindividuals who work at public-use commercial and general aviation airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other key appointments to the Association\u2019s Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Policy Review Committee were also finalized during the organization\u2019s Annual Membership Meeting, which was held virtually on Friday, June 26. Policy Review Committee Members include state aviation officials, Iftikhar Ahmad<\/strong>, P.E., President and CEO, Rhode Island Airport Corp., Kevin Dillon<\/strong>, A.A.E., Executive Director, Bradley International Airport, Ann Richart<\/strong>, A.A.E., Director, Nebraska Department of Transportation, Aeronautics Division, and Ricky Smith<\/strong>, Executive Director and CEO, Baltimore\/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AAAE leadership transition was originally scheduled to\noccur during the 92nd Annual AAAE Conference and Exposition in May, which was\ncancelled due to the coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Campbell was one of six Executive Committee members elected\nby the AAAE membership. She succeeds Tory Richardson, A.A.E., President and\nChief Executive Officer at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport, who\nbecomes First Past Chair. Second Past Chair is Jeanne Olivier, A.A.E., ACE,\nAssistant Director, Aviation Security and Technology at the Port Authority of\nNew York & New Jersey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other Executive Committee members elected by the AAAE\nmembership are First Vice Chair Larry Krauter, A.A.E., AICP, Chief Executive\nOfficer at the Spokane International Airport; Second Vice Chair Mark Gale,\nA.A.E., Chief Executive Officer and Director of Aviation at the Fort\nLauderdale-Hollywood International Airport; and Secretary\/Treasurer Perry\nMiller, A.A.E., I.A.P., President and Chief Executive Officer at the Richmond\nInternational Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
