FAI has revealed the theme for the 2021 edition of the FAI\nYoung Artists Contest. Youngsters between the ages of six and 17 are invited to\nget their brushes and pens out to interpret the theme \u201cA friendlier world with\nair sports\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The objective of the popular art contest is to encourage\nyoung people to reflect on a particular aspect of air sports. This year\u2019s\nedition focuses not only on the flying itself but on the friendships that are\ncreated and nurtured on the ground as well as in the skies when practicing air\nsports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The contest is first run at a national level. In the US, the\ncontest is conducted by the National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO)\nand the NASAO Center for Aviation Research and Education. The U.S. contest is\nsanctioned by the National Aeronautic Association (NAA), and supported by\nEmbry-Riddle Aeronautical University \u2013 Prescott, Ken Cook Co., the Federal\nAviation Administration, and the National Coalition for Aviation and Space\nEducation with additional support from NASAO State Members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each participating FAI Member organizes a contest in their\ncountry and selects the three best drawings in each of the three age\ncategories. The national winning artworks are then sent to FAI by 1 April 2021.\nThey are finally submitted to an international FAI jury, which decides on the\nfinal overall winners in April \/ May 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gold, Silver and Bronze FAI Medals are awarded to the\nwinners for the three age categories (six to nine years old, 10 to 13 years and\n14 to 17 years).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
