It was a direct operation transporting\nmedical supplies between Shenzhen International Airport in China and Mexico\nCity, with a non-stop route of more than 14 thousand kilometers with one of its\n19 Boeing 787 aircraft, which is also the largest wide cabin fleet with Mexican\nregistration that the country has ever had.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/media-dreamliner-01edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15595\" width=\"269\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/media-dreamliner-01edit.jpg 800w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/media-dreamliner-01edit-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 269px) 100vw, 269px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It is also the first time that the Asian city connects with\nLatin America on a direct flight. The aircraft departed last Sunday, May 24,\nfrom the Mexico City International Airport to Narita, Japan, where it made a\ntechnical stopover to continue to Shenzhen; the destination from which it took\noff on Monday, May 25 and flew directly to Mexico City, landing in the early\nmorning of May 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are in the most difficult crisis the airline\nindustry has ever experienced, but in adversity there are also opportunities. I\nwant to thank flight attendants, pilots, cargo technicians, maintenance,\nairports, ground support, training, administrative, and management teams for\ntheir support and commitment to continue flying and protect the wings of our\nCaballero Aguila \u201d, said Andres Conesa, CEO Grupo Aeromexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And he added: &#8220;I also want to thank the Mexican\nGovernment, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, airport authorities and\nall Chinese partners, as well as private companies for giving us their trust\nand support to transport these important supplies and continue writing new\nstories for Mexico.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline will have more flights to Shenzhen, in addition\nto those already made to Shanghai during this contingency, in which Aeromexico\ncompleted 100 exclusive cargo operations this week, transporting medical\nsupplies to 14 countries, with more than 1,400 tons of cargo, 3,600 of flight\nhours, 1,300 people involved and a figure higher than 2.7 million kilometers\ntraveled, equivalent to more than 67 trips around the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company&#8217;s first flight was in 1934 serving the Mexico\nCity &#8211; Acapulco route on a Stinson aircraft for 4 passengers that traveled\nabout 300 kilometers at a speed of 240 km\/hour. Today, Aeromexico Boeing 787-9\naircraft has a capacity of 274 passengers and crew and can fly up to 16 nonstop\nhours reaching 930 km\/hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline established a financial strategy to protect its\nliquidity, to continue its operations, and invest in the creation of its new\nHealth and Hygiene Management System, a standard that guarantees healthy and\nsafety conditions for internal teams and clients in all its operations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aeromexico made the longest-range flight in its existence and the history of aviation in Mexico.
