The Federal Aviation Administration funding will support airports\nexperiencing severe economic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The\ngrants will be distributed to airports to prevent, prepare for and respond to\nimpacts from the crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe COVID-19 pandemic has impacted every business sector \u2014\nbig and small \u2014 across Michigan and these grants will provide much-needed\nresources to help airports across the state weather this public health crisis\nand be prepared when more people resume air travel,\u201d said Governor Whitmer. \u201cI\nwant to thank our congressional leaders for securing this critical funding.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Airports receiving significant funding include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Detroit Metropolitan: $141.8 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kalamazoo\/Battle Creek International: $19.1 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sawyer International, Gwinn: $18 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alpena County Regional, Alpena: $17.9 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gerald R. Ford International, Grand Rapids: $16.2 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cherry Capital, Traverse City: $14.8 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Capital Region International, Lansing: $10.3 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bishop International, Flint: $7.2 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MBS International, Muskegon: $1.9 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pellston Regional Airport of Emmet County: $1.1 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Delta County, Escanaba: $1 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Houghton County Memorial, Hancock: $1 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iron Mountain, Ford: $1 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Muskegon: $1 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chippewa County International, Sault Ste.
