This year\u2019s Experimental Aircraft\nAssociation fly-in convention features demo teams flying the F-16 Fighting\nFalcon, F-22 Raptor, and F-35 Lightning II throughout the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 68th EAA fly-in convention, the World\u2019s Greatest\nAviation Celebration, is July 20-26 at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh,\nWisconsin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4602-1024x637.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15163\" width=\"302\" height=\"187\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4602-1024x637.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_4602-300x187.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 302px) 100vw, 302px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs we continue to plan for a full AirVenture event this\nsummer, EAA members and other attendees overwhelmingly tell us that they love\nto see the speed and power of modern military aircraft on display,\u201d said Dennis\nDunbar, director of AirVenture air show operations. \u201cThe pilots of these\naircraft love flying at Oshkosh as well, as they know they are performing in\nfront of one of the most knowledgeable and appreciative air show audiences\nthey\u2019ll find anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The F-16 Viper Demonstration Team will fly its own\nperformances and participate as part of the Air Force Heritage Flight program,\nwhich matches current military aircraft with legendary warbirds from previous\neras such as World War II. It comes to Oshkosh from Shaw Air Force Base in\nSouth Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_5164-1024x639.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15165\" width=\"349\" height=\"217\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_5164-1024x639.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_5164-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_5164.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 349px) 100vw, 349px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team demonstrates the\nabilities of the Lockheed Martin F-22, which was introduced by the Air Force in\n1997 and is one of the premier air superiority fighter jets in the world. The\ndemo team\u2019s headquarters is at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team will also fly both\nsolo and Heritage Flight performances with Capt. Kristin \u201cBeo\u201d Wolfe piloting.\nCapt.
