{"id":15136,"date":"2020-03-30T20:44:16","date_gmt":"2020-03-30T20:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=15136"},"modified":"2020-03-30T20:44:19","modified_gmt":"2020-03-30T20:44:19","slug":"aopa-postpones-casper-wyoming-fly-in-until-june-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/wyoming\/aopa-postpones-casper-wyoming-fly-in-until-june-2021\/%20","title":{"rendered":"AOPA Postpones Casper, Wyoming Fly-In Until June 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) has\ndecided to postpone its June 19 and 20, Casper, Wyoming, fly-in until next year\nJune 18 and 19, 2021. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe continue to monitor the very dynamic situation\nsurrounding the COVID-19 crisis and felt it prudent, with so many moving parts,\nto make an early decision to reschedule the AOPA Casper Fly-In and allow all\norganizations involved time to make appropriate plans,&#8221; said AOPA Senior\nDirector of Outreach and Events, Chris Eads. &#8220;We all hope things return to\nnormal by early summer but recognize the potential for the CDC to have\nadditional recommendations as this situation unfolds.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe leadership of the Casper\/Natrona County International\nAirport and Visit Casper have been incredibly supportive and helpful in\nbringing this event together. We are excited to deliver all the engaging facets\nof AOPA Fly-Ins to the rescheduled event in mid-June 2021. The AOPA events team\nis already working hard to deliver another exceptional program next year,\u201d Eads\ncontinued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone who registered for the Casper event will receive a\nfull refund. Registrants don\u2019t need to take any action to initiate refunds;\nAOPA will process credit card refunds as soon as able. Please expect delays for\nrefunds by check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this month, AOPA and Go Wheels Up! Texas announced\nthe indefinite postponement of the May 29 and 30, 2020 AOPA Fly-In in San\nMarcos, Texas, featured at Go Wheels Up! Texas. The two organizations are\ncontinuing to explore options for rescheduling that event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AOPA Fly-In scheduled for Sept. 11 and 12 in Rochester,\nNew York, is expected to occur as planned.
