Out of concern for the health and safety of attendees during\nthe COVID-19 outbreak, the N.C. Department of Transportation’s Division of\nAviation is postponing the Drone Workshop scheduled for April 9 in Monroe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
No makeup date has been set at this time. NCDOT will\ncontinue to work with the venue, South Piedmont Community College, to secure a\nfuture date and is committed to holding a drone workshop in the region when it\nis appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NCDOT’s Drone Workshops are full-day programs with\npresentations, exhibits and demonstrations designed to help public agencies and\nprivate businesses learn how to safely and effectively integrate drone\ntechnology into their operations. More than 1,000 people have attended the\nstatewide series since its inception in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
