The EAA webinars provide group opportunities on topics\nranging from aircraft maintenance and technology to pilot certification and\nflying clubs. In addition, specific webinars provide guidance to specialized\nareas such as EAA chapter leaders, aerobatic pilots, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTen years ago, we began the EAA series of webinars as a\nway to share knowledge and information in the EAA tradition of member-to-member\ninteraction, this time through an emerging online resource,\u201d said Charlie\nBecker, EAA\u2019s director of chapters, communities, and homebuilt community\nmanager. \u201cThe webinar schedule has become a greatly anticipated method of\ngetting expert guidance in a variety of areas, with the ability to ask\nquestions and receive helpful answers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The webinar series, supported by Aircraft Spruce &\nSpecialty, began in 2010 with a limited schedule of offerings. Since then, the\nseries has grown to include multiple webinars each week. More than 540 webinars\nhave been produced over the past decade, attracting more than a total of nearly\n170,000 people. In the past 12 months alone, a yearly record of 29,000 attendees\nengaged in the webinar series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAviators have a desire to gather and share information\nregardless of current conditions or availability of events, as a long tradition\nof hangar flying has shown,\u201d Becker said. \u201cEAA\u2019s webinar series continue that\nopportunity, even when it\u2019s difficult to gather in person as a flying\ncommunity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
