These pilots\nreceived a polo shirt embroidered with the North Dakota Flying Legacy logo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The bronze award recipients were:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clinton Cook &#8211; Bismarck, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Operchal &#8211; Minot, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Five pilots were presented with the silver award for\nvisiting at least sixty airports, one air museum and attending two safety\nseminars. These pilots received a flight bag embroidered with the North Dakota <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Flying Legacy logo. The Silver award recipients were:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lyn Augustin &#8211; St. Thomas, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ray Brooks &#8211; Bismarck, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael Moe &#8211; Grand Forks, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean Moe &#8211; Grand Forks, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patrick Haye &#8211; Minot, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020-North-Dakota-Passport-Awardsedit.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15012\" width=\"383\" height=\"237\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020-North-Dakota-Passport-Awardsedit.jpg 500w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020-North-Dakota-Passport-Awardsedit-300x185.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 383px) 100vw, 383px\" \/><figcaption><em>Gold level recipients are from left, Matthew Brugger, Naomi Haye, David Hochalter, Chuck Refling, Joshua Simmers, and John Vold.  <\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The most prestigious gold award level was achieved by\ntwelve pilots during 2019. These pilots received a leather flight jacket\nembroidered with the North Dakota Flying Legacy logo in addition to the bronze\nand silver awards. This prestigious accomplishment is achieved when visiting\nall 89 public use airports in North Dakota, visiting both air museums and\nattending at least 3 FAA Safety seminars. These pilots join the fifty-eight\nothers who have completed the passport program in previous years, making a\ntotal of Seventy total pilots who have achieved the gold award level to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The following is a list of the twelve individuals:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Matthew Brugger &#8211; Jamestown, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walter Coombe &#8211; Bismarck, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michael Haubrich &#8211; Racine, WI<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Naomi Haye &#8211; Minot, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>David Hochalter &#8211; Valley City, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keith Hugo &#8211; Grand Forks, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jon Owen &#8211; Luverne, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chuck Refling &#8211; Bottineau, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyle Schmaltz &#8211; Minot, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joshua Simmers &#8211; Carson, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John Vold &#8211; Fargo, ND<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tami Witt &#8211; Racine, WI<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awards presentation was conducted at the Dakota\nTerritory Air Museum in Minot, ND, in conjunction with the Upper Midwest\nAviation Symposium. Presenting the awards were Kyle Wanner, Executive Director\nand Mike McHugh, Aviation Education Coordinator of the North Dakota Aeronautics\nCommission.
