Daher has outlined the primary new features for the Model\nYear 2020 versions of its TBM 910 and TBM 940, which further enhance the\nexperience for passengers and pilots aboard the company\u2019s very fast turboprop\naircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Model Year 2020 TBM 940 will be equipped with HomeSafe\u2122,\nan emergency autoland system that can guide the aircraft to a landing in the\nevent of pilot incapacitation. Based on Garmin\u2019s Autoland system \u2013 and\navailable as a part of the G3000 integrated flight deck \u2013 HomeSafe\u2122 integrates\nweather, traffic and terrain information to select the optimum airport for\nlanding, considering such conditions as fuel range, flight distance and runway\nlength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HomeSafe\u2122 currently is under validation by Daher\u2019s avionics\nteam and flight test department for application on the TBM 940 and will be\navailable when certified by the airworthiness authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the visible changes in the cabin are new high-quality\nleather and material finishes, along with elements for improved comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included are a choice of six color choices for seat\ncoverings and side panels, more wood fittings along with three new floor carpet\ncolors. The Enhanced Operational Package offers eight pre-selected harmonies\nidentified by some of the favorite travel destinations for TBM owners, such as\nAtacama or Goose Bay. As an option, an extended palette is available with 40\nmore colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the comfort-related enhancements introduced in the\ncabins of Model Year 2020 TBM aircraft are headset stowage hooks incorporated\non clothes hangers behind the rear seats, as well as additional rear seat cup\nholders. New amenities developed for the pilot are an additional side-mounted\ncupholder and a tablet device holder located on the side of the central console.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Model Year 2020 TBMs also can be outfitted with an optional\nquick-change storage unit: the extended large storage cabinet. When installed,\nit replaces the left-side intermediate seat to offer more space for carry-on\nitems and is available with two USB slots and a 115 volt universal power plug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For operability, both the TBM 910 and TBM 940 in 2020\nbenefit from the automated icing protection introduced last year as part of\nDaher\u2019s e-Copilot\u00ae enhancements. The TBM 940 retains the most advanced level of\nautomation with its G3000 integrated flight deck and autothrottle system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
