EAA WomenVenture is presented by The Boeing Company, with additional\nsupport from Endeavor Air, The Outlet Shoppes at Oshkosh, Ford Motor Company,\nUnited Airlines, General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), Women in\nAviation International, and the Ninety-Nines, Inc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2008, EAA WomenVenture has offered the opportunity to\nbring together female aviators from throughout the flying community. The\nactivities are designed to encourage participation by women in aviation, as\nonly 6 percent of all pilots in the U.S. are female.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEAA WomenVenture always provides unforgettable experiences\nand camaraderie for women in aviation, particularly as it comes during the\nWorld\u2019s Greatest Aviation Celebration at Oshkosh,\u201d said Margaret Viola, a pilot\nand EAA volunteer, who is leading the organization of this year\u2019s activities.\n\u201cThese activities are where experienced women aviators can reunite among our favorite\naircraft, and is also a springboard to motivate other women to get involved in\naviation for fun or a future career, as we\u2019ll present activities that motivate\nand inspire.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The schedule includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Monday, July\n20, 5:30 p.m. \u2013 The EAA WomenVenture social, presented by Endeavor Air. This\nkickoff to the 13th annual WomenVenture schedule invites all women to meet and\nconnect in a fun atmosphere of an ice cream social. Preregistration online at\nEAA.org\/WomenVenture is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Wednesday,\nJuly 22, 11 a.m. \u2013 Annual EAA WomenVenture group photo on Boeing Plaza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Wednesday,\nJuly 22, 11:45 a.m. \u2013 The EAA WomenVenture Power Lunch at Theater in the Woods.\nTickets are $5 each and preregistration for this lunch is required at EAA.org\/WomenVenture.\nThis year\u2019s speaker is Captain Bebe O\u2019Neil. Hear her inspiring journey about\nserving her country in the U.S. Air Force, becoming System Chief Pilot at\nUnited Airlines, and her new role with United\u2019s Aviate program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c2\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Wednesday,\nJuly 22, 7 p.m. \u2013 EAA WomenVenture evening program at Theater in the Woods.\nParticipants to be announced as they are confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A limited-edition EAA WomenVenture T-shirt is available\n(while supplies last) to all women who participate. Those T-shirts must be reserved\nin advance via the EAA WomenVenture website and may be picked up at the\nAirVenture Welcome Center beginning Monday, July 20. The printed T-shirt\nregistration or confirmation of T-shirt registration on a mobile device must be\nshown when picking up the T-shirt. Women are encouraged to wear the T-shirt for\nthe July 22 group photo to show the collective strength of women in the\naviation community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, women are invited to the Welcome Center to sign\nthe EAA WomenVenture logbook any day during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photo above by Chris Miller.
