{"id":14921,"date":"2020-02-25T11:37:23","date_gmt":"2020-02-25T11:37:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=14921"},"modified":"2020-02-25T11:37:25","modified_gmt":"2020-02-25T11:37:25","slug":"new-members-appointed-to-drone-advisory-committee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/district-of-columbia\/new-members-appointed-to-drone-advisory-committee\/%20","title":{"rendered":"New Members Appointed to Drone Advisory Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has appointed two new members to the Federal Aviation Administration\u2019s (FAA) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.faa.gov\/uas\/programs_partnerships\/drone_advisory_committee\/\">Drone Advisory Committee<\/a> (DAC). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new members are Christian Ramsey, President of uAvionix\nCorp., headquartered in Bigfork, MT, and Lee Moak, founder and Chief Executive\nOfficer of The Moak Group in Washington, D.C. They were appointed on February\n5, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DAC is a broad-based, long-term federal advisory\ncommittee that provides the FAA advice on key unmanned aircraft systems (UAS)\nintegration issues by helping to identify challenges and prioritize\nimprovements. The committee helps to create broad support for an overall\nintegration strategy and vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Members of the DAC are executives who represent a variety of\nUAS interests, including industry, research, academia, retail, technology and\nstate and local government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The DAC is chartered to have up to 35 members.
