Deliveries of the Vision Jet surpassed 80\naircraft in 2019, representing a 29% increase over the prior year, while\nconsistent growth in SR Series deliveries resulted in a combined total of 465\naircraft shipments in 2019. With 384 aircraft delivered in 2019, the SR Series\nmaintained its distinction as the best-selling high-performance piston aircraft\nin its segment for eighteen consecutive years. These combined gains in 2019\nrepresent a 5% increase in total deliveries over 2018 and made it the fifth\nyear in a row that Cirrus Aircraft has grown annual airplane shipments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur growth at Cirrus Aircraft is propelled each year by our\nmission to create an aviation experience that is defined by innovation and\nexcellence,\u201d said Zean Nielsen, CEO at Cirrus Aircraft. \u201cOur team strives to\nadvance personal aviation with smarter, more connected aircraft and our annual\nperformance is reflective of how our strategy is resonating with customers from\nboth inside and outside of aviation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/jet-press-image2edit-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14901\" width=\"309\" height=\"205\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/jet-press-image2edit-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/jet-press-image2edit-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/jet-press-image2edit-1.jpg 1250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 309px) 100vw, 309px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>2019 is the sixth consecutive year that Cirrus Aircraft has\ndelivered more than 300 SR Series aircraft. Additionally, the Vision Jet\ncontinues to deliver into new global markets and has now surpassed 170 Vision\nJets in service around the world. Expansion of Cirrus Services\u2122 also fueled\nenterprise growth, including the opening of a new Cirrus Aircraft facility in\nthe Dallas Metroplex area. Finally, the total number of Cirrus employees grew\nby over 10% in 2019 as team members were added in all locations including\nDuluth, Minnesota; Grand Forks, North Dakota; Knoxville, Tennessee and\nMcKinney, Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Most Connected SR Series Ever<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January, the company announced the launch of the all-new\n2020 G6 SR Series, the most technologically advanced models ever of the world\u2019s\nbest-selling SR20, SR22 and SR22T high-performance piston aircraft. The\nhighlight of the new model year is the introduction of the Cirrus Aircraft\nmobile app powered by Cirrus IQTM \u2013 providing a real-time digital connection to\nthe airplane from virtually anywhere in the world. Further enhancements include\nre-imagined interior and exterior aesthetics featuring a line of bold new\ncolors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These new features alongside additional upgrades to the\nindustry-leading Cirrus Perspective+TM by Garmin\u00ae flight deck make the 2020 G6\nSR Series the most comprehensive, integrated and intelligent flight experience\navailable today, enabling a smarter aircraft, a smarter pilot and smarter\nflying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cirrus Aircraft\u2019s first high-performance SR Series airplane\n\u2013 the SR20 \u2013 was first delivered in 1999 and transformed general aviation with\nintuitive avionics, game-changing performance and revolutionary safety systems,\nincluding the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System\u00ae (CAPS\u00ae). The SR Series\nportfolio includes the SR20, SR22 and the turbocharged SR22T. Today, the\nworldwide fleet of SR Series aircraft has surpassed 7,500 aircraft with over 11\nmillion flight hours in 60 countries around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A New Generation of the Vision Jet<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In early 2019, the company announced the launch of the next\ngeneration Vision Jet\u2013 \u201cG2\u201d \u2013 with enhanced performance, comfort and safety.\nEvolutionary features include increased cruise altitude, speed and range, along\nwith a newly-upgraded Perspective Touch+TM by Garmin\u00ae flight deck. In addition\nto upgrades, several innovative technologies were added to the G2 Vision Jet,\nincluding a category-first Autothrottle, Flight Stream connectivity and more.\nInterior amenities further enhanced the passenger experience with new executive\nseats, thoughtfully-engineered noise reduction and a passenger productivity\nconsole. The turbine aircraft defined a new category in\naviation \u2013 the Personal Jet \u2013 with its spacious pilot and passenger-friendly\ncabin featuring panoramic windows, reclining seats, comfortable legroom for\nfive adults and two children and the only turbine aircraft with a whole\nairframe parachute system as standard equipment. This year,\nOklahoma State University added a new fleet of SR20 aircraft as the flagship of\ntheir aviation program. Other world-renowned flight training academies using\nCirrus aircraft include Emirates Airlines, Lufthansa, Southern Utah University\nand Vincennes University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019, Cirrus Aircraft announced the TRAC Series, a\npurpose-built configuration of the best-selling SR Series line of aircraft\ndeveloped specifically for flight training institutions. The TRAC Series is\nthoughtfully crafted with reliability, durability and economy in mind to meet\nthe rigors of high-tempo flight operations, while providing industry-leading\nsafety and performance for both the student pilot and flight instructor.\nCombining the Perspective+TM by Garmin\u00ae flight deck along with the unrivaled performance\nand safety uniquely found in the SR Series, the TRAC Series includes tailored\nfeatures such as rear seat push-to-talk functionality and a landing gear\nsimulator aimed at increasing training productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Cirrus Perception\u2122 \u2013 the company\u2019s\nsensor-capable special mission aircraft \u2013 continues to enhance law enforcement\nsearch and rescue efforts around the world with a cost-effective multi-use\nplatform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cirrus Services Grows, Further Enhances a Lifetime of Airplane Ownership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2019, Cirrus Services expanded with the opening of two\nnew facilities. Cirrus Aircraft opened a new Factory Direct location in\nMcKinney, Texas in early 2019 offering factory service, with additional\nservices to include flight training, maintenance and aircraft management in the\nfuture. Cirrus\nServices recognizes the customer\u2019s needs before, during and after initial\naircraft delivery by combining Flight Training, Service and Support into a\nsingle, dedicated business unit. The dedicated group is focused on growing\ncapabilities and offerings at the company\u2019s expanding list of Factory Direct\ncenters, as well as through a network of authorized service and training\npartners across the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cirrus Approach Continues Innovation and Leadership in Pilot Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recognized as the first recipient of the Joseph T. Nell\nSafety Award from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), Cirrus\nAircraft continues to transform pilot training and safety with Cirrus Approach.\nAs a comprehensive program, Cirrus Approach provides ongoing training to new\nand experienced pilots with their lifestyle in mind through award-winning\nin-person and online training courses. The company has continued to innovate\npilot training in recent years, with the launch of the redesigned\ncirrusapproach.com and the addition of Flight Fix \u2013 a unique monthly video\npodcast to further support its mission of \u201ctraining as a lifestyle\u201d. Over\n16,000 pilots and owners have joined the program as of early 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cirrus EmbarkTM \u2013 the company\u2019s transition training program\ndesigned for new owners of pre-owned Cirrus aircraft \u2013 also continues to\nexpand, exceeding 1,100 training completions awarded since its launch in 2017.\nThis revolutionary program provides Cirrus-specific, standardized differences\nand transition training for a licensed pilot who purchased a pre-owned Cirrus\nAircraft. Included in the program is access to the Cirrus Approach Learning\nPortal, the Cirrus FOM and aircraft POH, access to the iFOM and one-on-one\nCirrus Transition Training with an authorized Cirrus training provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Company Operations Continue to Expand<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Growth in overall facilities and employment was also noted\nacross the company\u2019s locations, including significant expansion of career\nopportunities in engineering and product development. This growth includes\nplans to establish a new engineering design center in Phoenix, Arizona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s global customer experience center, the Vision\nCenter Campus, continues to grow with the inclusion of a state-of-the-art\nFlight Training center which features world-class FAA-approved \u2018part 142\u2019 type\nrating training for the Vision Jet and a custom Level D full-motion simulator.\nCirrus has currently issued over 330 Vision Jet type ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the fall of 2019, Cirrus Aircraft hosted its first Vision\nPilots and Owners (VPO) symposium at its Vision Center, demonstrating a strong\ndedication to the owner community and continued sharing of learning and best\npractices for the world\u2019s first single-engine Personal Jet.
