{"id":14891,"date":"2020-02-22T16:09:59","date_gmt":"2020-02-22T16:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=14891"},"modified":"2020-02-22T16:10:01","modified_gmt":"2020-02-22T16:10:01","slug":"aopa-2020-fly-in-locations-registration-websites-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/national-news\/aopa-2020-fly-in-locations-registration-websites-open\/%20","title":{"rendered":"AOPA 2020 Fly-In Locations Registration Websites Open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) recently\nannounced its 2020 fly-in locations and now pilots and aviation enthusiasts\nalike can register to attend one or all of the three regional events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three location, two-day events, will kick off May 29 and\n30 in San Marcos, Texas (KHYI), followed by June 19 and 20 in Casper, Wyoming\n(KCPR), and close out the fly-in season Sept. 11 and 12 in Rochester, New York\n(KROC). Each location has a personality of its own. From music to rodeos, car\nshows to airshows, and Wild West excursions to metropolitan vibes, the 2020\nfly-in locations will have something for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration websites for the 2020 fly-ins are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Marcos, TX: <a href=\"https:\/\/aopa.org\/Community\/Events\/AOPA-Fly-Ins\/2020-AOPA-Fly-Ins\/San-Marcos\/\">aopa.org\/HYI1<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Casper, WY: <a href=\"https:\/\/aopa.org\/Community\/Events\/AOPA-Fly-Ins\/2020-AOPA-Fly-Ins\/Casper\/\">aopa.org\/CPR2<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rochester, NY: <a href=\"https:\/\/aopa.org\/Community\/Events\/AOPA-Fly-Ins\/2020-AOPA-Fly-Ins\/Rochester\/\">aopa.org\/ROC3<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fly-in at San Marcos will be a new and unique experience with AOPA co-locating its event as the Featured Sponsor with Go Wheels Up! Texas for an exciting weekend that will include regular AOPA Fly-In programming, along with an airshow, concert series, and a car show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AOPA Members and their guests will have a great opportunity\nto save 70% on entrance passes into the San Marcos event. To help underwrite\nthe costs of the uniqueness of the San Marcos event, there is an admission fee\nfor entry to this event. AOPA members and their guests will receive a very\nspecial one-time entry fee of $15.00 per person, good for entry to both Friday\nand Saturday, that gives access to the entire show. To get the special AOPA\nprice, you must register through AOPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees at the San Marcos, Casper, and Rochester fly-ins\nwill have a chance to experience the AOPA programming they\u2019ve come to enjoy\nwith a Friday night Flightline Cookout, short takeoff and landing (STOL)\ninvitational, seminars, exhibits, and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This year&#8217;s AOPA Fly-Ins will take us to two new\nstates in parts of the country we&#8217;ve not yet visited with exciting\nopportunities to explore their unique strengths,&#8221; said AOPA Senior\nDirector of Outreach and Events, Chris Eads. &#8220;And, we will also revisit\nthe roots of our regional fly-in program by returning to our very first fly-in\nlocation from 2014. We are looking forward to a fun year with lots of new\nflying adventures, and we hope you can join us!&#8221; Eads continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AOPA\u2019s two-day fly-ins will continue with in-depth workshops\non both Fridays and Saturdays.
