In this role, Pecoraro\nwill work closely with the NASAO Board of Directors and other state aviation leaders\nto fulfill the organization\u2019s mission to represent the interests of the states\nand the public before Federal policymakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/greg-1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14834\" width=\"201\" height=\"201\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/greg-1.jpeg 400w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/greg-1-150x150.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/greg-1-300x300.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/greg-1-60x60.jpeg 60w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 201px) 100vw, 201px\" \/><figcaption><em>Greg Pecoraro<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Pecoraro has had more than 25 years of government relations\nand management experience in the aviation and transportation sectors, both in\ngovernment and associations. He served as vice president of government affairs\nfor the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, as assistant secretary for\nAdministration at Maryland Department of Transportation, as well as other key\nleadership positions in the public and private sectors. In these roles, he has\nworked extensively across the Aviation community, with policymakers at every\nlevel of government, as well as other association leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>John Binder, Chair of NASAO\u2019s Board of Directors and\nAlaska\u2019s Deputy Commissioner for Aviation announced Pecoraro\u2019s appointment,\nsaying \u201cNASAO\u2019s Board of Directors is very pleased and excited to welcome Greg\nPecoraro as our new President and CEO.&nbsp;\nGreg is an experienced and effective association executive with\nsignificant experience in aviation advocacy, and a deep familiarity with NASAO\nand State Aviation. We are confident that his abilities and enthusiasm will\nserve NASAO well as we work together to promote a safe and efficient aviation\nsystem nationwide and in our states.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In accepting the appointment, Pecoraro said \u201cI am very\nexcited to be joining NASAO. Our national aviation system makes possible so\nmuch of what we value in America, and state aviation agencies are critical to\nthe safe and secure functioning of that system.
