(NYSE: SAVE), America\u2019s\nfastest-growing airline, today held a groundbreaking ceremony with Spirit Team\nMembers, local and state officials, and business leaders to celebrate the\nconstruction of its new corporate headquarters in Dania Beach, Fla. Spirit is\ninvesting up to $250 million for the creation of a corporate campus of up to\n500,000 square feet of space, and the airline plans to add 225 additional jobs\nover the next five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"178\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/new-spirit-airlines-hq.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14577\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, approximately 1,000 employees are planned to move\nfrom the company\u2019s current facilities in Miramar to the new Dania Pointe site\njust minutes away from Spirit\u2019s largest operating base, Fort\nLauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The development will include\ncorporate offices, a new crew training facility with flight simulators, and a\ncorporate training residence all designed for more streamlined workflow and\nquick access to the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spirit recently completed the purchase of land from Kimco\nRealty (NYSE: KIM), the owner and principal developer of Dania Pointe, to\nsecure the land. Gensler will be the architectural firm, and Jones Lang LaSalle\n(NYSE: JLL) was selected as the project advisor. Spirit estimates the total\ncapital outlay for the project will be approximately $250 million over the next\n36 months. The new campus will be located in the Dania Beach Community\nRedevelopment Agency (CRA) District, and the Dania Beach CRA also supported the\nproject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSpirit has called South Florida home for more than 20\nyears.
