Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum and the\nJeppesen Aviation Foundation today announced that they have joined forces to\ncreate the Wings Over the Rockies Captain Jeppesen Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to support Wings\nOver the Rockies Air & Space Museum in being a leader in providing\naerospace educational opportunities fulfilling youthful dreams in the spirit of\nCaptain Elrey B. Jeppesen and his legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Captain Jeppesen was an aviation pioneer who made lasting\ncontributions to aeronautical navigation and the safety of flight; everyone who\ntravels by air is the beneficiary of his lifetime work. Captain Jeppesen’s passion for flying and his\ndedication to safety serve as an inspirational model for young people as they\nexplore career paths in aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Going forward, the newly formed Wings Over the Rockies\nCaptain Jeppesen Foundation will continue to raise funds and award numerous\naviation scholarships and grants leading the creation of opportunities to\nadvance aerospace education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
