Airmen who undertake Special Operations careers are training in many\nunique skills such as parachuting, scuba diving, rappelling, motorcycling,\nsurvival skills, and more. Aircraft in the unit include versatile airplanes\nsuch as the C-130 and unique aircraft such as the CV-22 Osprey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"558\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/MC-130J-1024x558.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14461\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MC-130J-1024x558.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MC-130J-300x164.jpg 300w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MC-130J-750x410.jpg 750w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MC-130J.jpg 1800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEven those who have a solid familiarity with the U.S. Air\nForce often know little about its special operations units and the important\nmission they fulfill, so we want to bring some visibility to that at Oshkosh in\n2020,\u201d said Rick Larsen, EAA\u2019s vice president of programs, publications, and\nmarketing, who coordinates AirVenture features and attractions. \u201cThe Air Force\nhas been extremely cooperative through the years at showcasing its remarkable\npeople and aircraft at AirVenture, and we look forward to discovering even more\nin 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AFSOC was officially formed in 1990, but has a heritage that\nreaches back to Army Air Forces operations during World War II.
