{"id":14354,"date":"2019-12-03T11:57:04","date_gmt":"2019-12-03T11:57:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=14354"},"modified":"2019-12-03T11:57:07","modified_gmt":"2019-12-03T11:57:07","slug":"three-washington-state-airports-to-receive-faa-airport-improvement-program-grants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/washington\/three-washington-state-airports-to-receive-faa-airport-improvement-program-grants\/%20","title":{"rendered":"Three Washington State Airports to Receive FAA Airport Improvement Program Grants"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Arlington Municipal, Skagit Regional and Grant County\nInternational Airports are among the 108 airports receiving (supplemental)\nAirport Improvement Program grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation\nand Federal Aviation Administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airports, infrastructure improvement and grant amount\nare as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Arlington Municipal, install taxiway lighting: $\n1.3 million<\/li><li>Skagit Regional, construct apron: $ 2.5 million<\/li><li>Grant County International, reconstruct runway:\n$ 8 million<\/li><li>Grant County International, reconstruct runway\nlighting: $ 2 million<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Agencies with airport projects that have already completed\nplanning and environmental analysis will be more likely to receive the\nsupplemental grant funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe robust economy is enabling more passengers to travel by\nair, so this administration is investing billions of dollars in America\u2019s\nairports which will address safer airport operations, fewer airport delays, and\ngreater ease of travel for air travelers,\u201d said U.S. Secretary of\nTransportation Elaine L.
