{"id":14324,"date":"2019-11-25T19:18:57","date_gmt":"2019-11-25T19:18:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/?p=14324"},"modified":"2019-11-25T19:27:29","modified_gmt":"2019-11-25T19:27:29","slug":"gama-announces-2020-executive-committee-leadership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/index.php\/state-news\/district-of-columbia\/gama-announces-2020-executive-committee-leadership\/%20","title":{"rendered":"GAMA Announces 2020 Executive Committee Leadership"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has\nannounced its 2020 executive leadership and the establishment of a new senior\nlevel policy committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/David-Paddock.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14328\" width=\"153\" height=\"199\"\/><figcaption><em>David Paddock<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>David Paddock of Jet Aviation will serve as Chairman of\nGAMA in 2020. Mr. Paddock previously served as GAMA&#8217;s Vice Chairman and chaired\nthe association&#8217;s Communications committee. Nicolas Chabbert of Daher will\nserve as GAMA&#8217;s Vice Chairman. Mr. Chabbert has previously chaired the\nassociation&#8217;s Safety and Accident Investigation committee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nicolas-Chabbert-1-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14329\" width=\"141\" height=\"186\"\/><figcaption><em>Nicolas Chabbert<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>GAMA also announced the creation of a European Leaders\nSteering committee. David Van Den Langenbergh of Luxaviation will lead this new\neffort, which will provide additional strategic guidance for the association&#8217;s\non-going work with European institutions and stakeholders. The new committee\nwill be comprised of senior executives from GAMA&#8217;s European member companies\nand tasked with developing strategies to grow the general aviation sector in\nEurope, whilst continuously improving safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the following GAMA board members will\nprovide leadership for the association&#8217;s existing policy committees:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Marc Drobny of StandardAero will chair the\nAirworthiness and Maintenance Policy committee. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Michael Amalfitano of Embraer will continue to\nchair the Communications committee.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Michael Thacker of Bell and Eric Allison of Uber\nElevate will continue to co-chair the Electric Propulsion and Innovation\nCommittee. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>David Coleal of Bombardier Aviation will\ncontinue to chair the Environment committee. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Tyson Weihs of ForeFlight will continue to chair\nthe Flight Operations Policy committee.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Eric Hinson of SIMCOM will chair the Safety and\nAccident Investigation committee. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Jim Ziegler of Greenwich AeroGroup will chair\nthe Security Issues Committee. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Jeff Trang of Airbus Helicopters will chair the\nTechnical Policy Committee. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark Burns of Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation will\ncontinue his service on GAMA&#8217;s Executive Committee as immediate past chairman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An overview of GAMA&#8217;s 2020 Executive Committee is available <a href=\"https:\/\/gama.aero\/about-gama\/gama-executive-committee\/\">online.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) has announced its 2020 executive leadership and the establishment of a new senior level policy committee.
