Duncan Aviation announced the naming of Tim Lockerby as the company\u2019s new Regional Manager for the Great Lakes region of the United States. \u201cI\u2019m a strong believer that customer relationships are built face-to-face over time, and that nothing replaces sitting down with a customer and listening. I love to travel and look forward to seeing every single customer in my region and learning as much as I can about them,\u201d says Lockerby.<\/p>\n
He has been flying \u201canything with wings\u201d since he completed his private pilot training at Clow Airport in Naperville, Ill., when he was 16 years old. Lockerby bought a Cessna Cardinal in 1997 and replaced that with a Cessna 172 in 2002. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children who\u2019ll be heading off to college in the not-too-distant future, so Lockerby says he\u2019s mostly flying remote-controlled airplanes for the time being.

\nAfter graduating from the University of Illinois with a degree in marketing, Lockerby worked at Priester Aviation at Palwaukee Airport (now Chicago Executive). He sold avionics upgrades and maintenance. <\/p>\n
Prior to coming to Duncan Aviation, Lockerby was the National Sales Manager for Aftermarket at Rosen Aviation for ten years, and during that time, Duncan Aviation was one of Lockerby\u2019s customers. \u201cI was always impressed by how Duncan Aviation treated our shared customers, me as a salesperson and Rosen as a vendor. My decision to join the Duncan Aviation team was a pretty easy one,\u201d says Lockerby, \u201cas I already know the culture and how Duncan treats its people.\u201d <\/p>\n

He has the added advantage of having well-established relationships with a number of our customers in the Great Lakes region.\u201d<\/p>\n
