Dassault\nwill also be leveraging the event to promote its new ultra widebody Falcon 6X,\ncurrently in development. A full-scale cabin mockup of the large twinjet will\nbe featured at the static display. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-900LX_01-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14268\" width=\"368\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-900LX_01.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-900LX_01-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 368px) 100vw, 368px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The 6,450 nm \/ 11,945 km Falcon 8X has been a leading seller\nin the Middle East since the first aircraft was delivered to a Gulf customer\nthree years ago. The 8X can fly non-stop from New York to Dubai, Dubai to\nAdelaide, or Chicago to Jeddah, yet land at restricted airports that are\ntypically inaccessible to large business jets, like London City, Gstaad,\nSwitzerland, and Saint-Tropez-La Mole, France. The aircraft\u2019s spacious cabin \u2013\nthe longest of any Falcon \u2013 is the quietest of any business jet on the market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Middle East Market Outlook<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Middle East is also expected to be a major market for\nthe 5,500 nm \/ 10,186 km Falcon 6X, which will be the most spacious, modern and\nversatile twin in its class. \u201cWe expect the Gulf region to be a major driver\nfor our ultra widebody Falcon 6X, as it is already proving to be for our Falcon\n8X flagship,\u201d said Dassault Aviation Chairman\/CEO Eric Trappier. \u201cThe Middle\nEast has always been a key market for Falcon aircraft, whose efficiency, cabin\ncomfort and value for money are particularly appreciated by local operators.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gulf-based Falcon fleet has nearly doubled in the last\nfive years, to more than 70 aircraft, and continues to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-6X_01-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14269\" width=\"270\" height=\"179\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-6X_01.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-6X_01-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 270px) 100vw, 270px\" \/><figcaption>Falcon 6X<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The 6X will offer the largest cabin cross-section of any\npurpose-built business jet \u2014 2.58 m \/ 102 inches wide, 1.98 m \/ 6 feet 6 inches\nhigh and 12.30 m \/ 40 feet 4 inches long \u2014 and will be capable of flying\ndirectly from Dubai to any destination in Asia, Africa and Europe at Mach 0.85.\nIt will be equipped with a new-generation Digital Flight Control System that\nprovides better maneuverability by controlling all moving surfaces, including a\nnew control surface called a flaperon, adapted from Dassault fighter aircraft. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Development of the 6X, including its Pratt &amp; Whitney\nCanada PW812D engine, is right on schedule and final assembly of the first\naircraft will begin early next year. The first flight is set for 2021 and\ncertification and initial delivery are planned for 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Advanced systems expand Falcon aircraft capabilities, productivity and safety<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Falcon 8X, 900LX and other top-line Falcons, including\nthe Falcon 2000 family, are available with a number of advanced systems that\nconsiderably enhance aircraft capability, safety and productivity. These\ninclude FalconConnect, which keeps passengers fully connected at all times,\neverywhere in the world, and Dassault\u2019s revolutionary FalconEye Combined Vision\nSystem, the first head up display (HUD) system in business aviation to combine\nsynthetic and enhanced vision capabilities in a single view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-8X_06-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14270\" width=\"328\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-8X_06.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Falcon-8X_06-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 328px) 100vw, 328px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>FalconConnect is a new broadband inflight connectivity\nservice that integrates all cockpit and cabin ground-based and satellite\ncommunications into a single bundled offering, making onboard connectivity\nsystems easy to use and consumption simple to manage and control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FalconEye is now approved for an enhanced flight vision\nsystem capability that gives operational credit for poor visibility approaches\ndown to 100 ft, greatly improving access to airports in all-weather conditions\nat day or night. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Reinforced After Market Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dassault\u2019s recent acquisition of several large maintenance,\nrepair and overhaul businesses, in particular that of ExecuJet, will enable the\ncompany to expand its company-owned MRO network in the Middle East, Asia\nPacific, Africa and Europe and move closer to operators in these areas.\nExecuJet\u2019s Dubai facility is expected to become a major hub for Falcon after\nsales service in the Gulf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to these new factory-owned MRO facilities,\nDassault will continue to operate existing Authorized Service Centers in the\narea. The regional MRO network is complemented by a spares distribution center\nin Dubai and a technical office in Cairo, Egypt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dassault also continues to expand backup customer support\ncapabilities outside the Middle East. Earlier this year, the company opened a\nstate of the art spare parts distribution center near Charles de Gaulle Airport\nin Paris that will further improve the speed and reliability of spares\nshipments to Falcon customers in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Far\nEast. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gulf customers can also call on Falcon Response, Dassault\u2019s\ncomprehensive AOG support service offering. A dedicated Falcon 900 AOG airborne\nsupport aircraft is available to dispatch spare parts, repair tools and Go Team\nspecialists 24\/7 anywhere in the region and provide alternative lift if\nnecessary \u2014 an industry first. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dassault\u2019s excellence in customer service was recently\nrecognized in two operator surveys conducted by Pro Pilot Magazine and Aviation\nInternational News (AIN), which both voted Dassault Aviation the top service\nprovider in the business jet sector.
