The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) has\nreleased its updated ratings and reviews feature of AOPA\u2019s Airport Directory\nOnline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the airport itself to FBOs, restaurants, flight\nschools, and maintenance shops, pilots are encouraged to give their feedback on\nall aspects of an airport\u2019s amenities and to check the experience other pilots\nhad at those locations. The new rating functionality allows users to provide up\nto five-star ratings, post reviews, upload photos, and like other users\u2019\ncomments. Just as important, managers and business owners can interact with\ncustomers by responding to user comments, recognizing great feedback, and\naddressing customer concerns that would otherwise go unanswered. For both\npilots and airport businesses, the tools are designed to make traveling with\ngeneral aviation (GA) aircraft better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAOPA\u2019s rating and review platform is a great tool to give\npilots added confidence to get out, fly, explore, and visit the thousands of\ngreat destinations that GA can take them,\u201d said AOPA Senior Vice President of\nMarketing Jiri Marousek. \u201cCrowdsourced reviews are a critical customer\nexpectation today, and they drive every industry to get better at serving our\ncustomers and foster transparency by sharing firsthand experiences\u2014it\u2019s a win\nfor pilots, airport managers, and local businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Along with the new ratings and review feature, AOPA\u2019s\nAirport Directory Online also has an updated and rebuilt kneeboard format. The\nkneeboard now displays traffic pattern altitudes in addition to FAA reported\npattern altitudes. Comments on runway conditions, noise abatement information,\npilot-activated lighting details, and clearance delivery phone numbers are also\navailable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Users leaving reviews must be logged in to AOPA.org but do\nnot need to be an AOPA member. Airport and business managers do not need to\nhave a paid AOPA membership in order to respond to a review but must have\nadministrative access to their listing, which is provided at no cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new additions to the Airport Directory Online combined\nwith the AOPA travel portal and biweekly AOPA Travel Pilot newsletter makes it\neasy for pilots to discover fun new places to fly and share their adventures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
