FAA Type Certification follows the most robust flight,\nstructural and component qualification testing completed on a Citation to date.\nThe experimental and demo fleet completed close to 6,000 hours of flight time.\nIn addition to 11,000 test points during the certification process, the Longitude\nalso completed a 31,000-nautical mile world tour, demonstrating the aircraft\u2019s\noutstanding long-range performance capability and reliability in a variety of\nenvironments. The Longitude, produced at Textron Aviation\u2019s manufacturing\nfacility in Wichita, benefits from state-of-the-art assembly and fabrication\ntools and techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Class-leading cabin experience shaped by customer input<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Citation Longitude is equally designed around the\npilot experience, passenger comfort and overall performance, delivering an\naircraft that lives up to its designation as the flagship of the Citation\nfamily of business jets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Longitude has one of the most thoroughly researched\ncabin experiences and elevates passenger expectations in the super-midsize\ncategory. The comfortable, bespoke interior of the Longitude has class-leading\nlegroom, cabin sound levels that are nearly twice as quiet as the nearest\ncompetitor, a low cabin altitude of 5,950 feet and more standard features than\ncompetitors in this segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With seating for up to 12 passengers, including an\noptional crew jump seat, the Longitude features a stand-up, 6-foot tall\nflat-floor cabin. A standard double-club configuration delivers the most\nlegroom in the super-midsize class \u2013 11 percent more room than the nearest\ncompetitor. Fully berthable seats are designed and manufactured in-house.\nState-of-the-art cabin technology enables passengers to manage their\nenvironment and entertainment from any mobile device, maximizing in-flight\nconnectivity and productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Revolutionary performance for the longest-range Citation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Early in the development program, the Citation Longitude\nexceeded initial performance targets and achieved an improved transcontinental\nrange of 3,500 nautical miles (an increase of 100 nautical miles) and full fuel\npayload of 1,600 pounds (an increase of 100 pounds). The longest-range Citation\ndelivers a maximum cruise speed of 483 ktas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe Longitude is the best flying Citation yet,\u201d said Ed\nWenninger, chief pilot for Textron Aviation engineering flight test. The\nFADEC-equipped Honeywell HTF7700L turbofan engines feature fully integrated\nautothrottles with envelope protection and provide responsiveness and excellent\npower.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The clean-sheet design of the Longitude integrates the\nlatest technology throughout the aircraft, including the next evolution of the\nGarmin G5000 flight deck.
