These awards serve as a demonstration of the high degree of\nprofessionalism and outstanding safety culture within participating companies.\nIn total, more than 1,000 companies and individuals were recognized for\naccident\/incident-free operations in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A total of five member companies are being honored for 50\nyears of safe operations; five member companies are being recognized for 60\nyears of accident-free operations; and one company \u2013 Cox Enterprise, Inc. \u2013 is\nbeing recognized for 75 years of safe operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNBAA is honored to recognize member companies and\nindividuals for their years of safe operations, which for decades has been a\nkey focus for the association and industry,\u201d said NBAA President and CEO Ed\nBolen. \u201cThese award recipients are proven industry leaders, not only in the\nsafety of flight, but in all aspects of their operations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 50-, 60- and 75-Year Safe Flying Achievement Award\nrecipients will be recognized during a luncheon at NBAA\u2019s Business Aviation\nConvention &amp; Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), Oct. 22-24 in Las Vegas, NV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following companies were recognized with Safe Flying\nAchievement Awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>50-Year Safe Flying Achievement Award recipients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Air Products &amp; Chemicals, Inc.<\/li><li>American Express Co., Inc.<\/li><li>Auburn University \u2013 Air Transportation<\/li><li>Bayer-Monsanto Company<\/li><li>Keller Companies<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>60-Year Safe Flying Achievement Award recipients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Archer Daniels Midland Company<\/li><li>American Intl. Group Inc.<\/li><li>Bissell, Inc.<\/li><li>H-E-B, LP<\/li><li>Lockheed Martin Corp., Aircraft<\/li><li>75-Year Safe Flying Achievement Award recipient:<\/li><li>Cox Enterprises, Inc.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In addition to milestone awards, NBAA recognized members in the following categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Company Commercial Award \u2013 28 companies\ncompiling 1,240,072 hours of safe operations<\/li><li>Company Corporate\/ Business Award \u2013 169\ncompanies compiling 8,990,784 hours of safe operations<\/li><li>Company Maintenance Award \u2013 82 companies\ncompiling 5,077,080 hours of safe operations<\/li><li>ATP or Commercial Pilot Award \u2013 279 pilots\ncompiling 2,222,738 hours of safe flying<\/li><li>Private Pilot Award \u2013 1 pilot compiling 5,088\nhours of safe flying<\/li><li>Schedulers &amp; Dispatchers Award \u2013 79\nschedulers\/licensed dispatchers qualified<\/li><li>Support Services Award \u2013 158 support personnel\nqualified<\/li><li>Technician Award \u2013 205 technicians qualified<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Flying Safety Awards program was launched in 1953 by the NBAA board of directors to promote a culture of safety in business aviation operations. NBAA is committed to making business aviation as safe as possible, and encourages all members to participate in the awards program to enhance safe operations and gain recognition for their outstanding performance.
