Bennett, Director of Aviation Services for the city of Phoenix,\nwas named this year\u2019s recipient of the Excellence in Visionary Leadership\nAward. The award was announced during the 2019 ACI-NA Annual Conference and\nExhibition in Tampa, FL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cACI-NA is pleased to recognize the distinguished leadership\nof Jim Bennett with the 2019 Excellence in Visionary Leadership Award,\u201d said\nACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. \u201cAs the Director of Aviation Services\nat Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Jim leads one of America\u2019s busiest\nairports with integrity and the understanding that employee alignment is\ncritical to execute a sound, unified business strategy. His dedication to PHX\nand its 45 million annual passengers is unmistakable, and will ensure the\ncontinued success of the airport and the local Phoenix community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a great honor to receive this award,\u201d said Bennett. \u201cI\nam proud to be at the helm of America\u2019s Friendliest Airport, where we strive to\nfoster an environment of continued growth and mutual respect. Our team knows\nthat no idea is too small, and this award embodies the hard work of the more\nthan 57,000 employees, who remain committed to delivering an exceptional\nairport experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bennett was named Director of Aviation Services at the city\nof Phoenix Aviation Department in 2015. The city of Phoenix Aviation Department\nowns and operates Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport as well as two\ngeneral aviation airports \u2013 Phoenix Deer Valley and Phoenix Goodyear. His more\nthan 40-year career has included roles such as CEO of the Abu Dhabi Airports\nCompany, President and CEO of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority,\nDirector of Airports for the Shreveport Airport Authority, and president of his\nown consulting firm, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched in 2016 by ACI-NA\u2019s Human Resources Committee, the\nExcellence in Visionary Leadership Award recognizes the extraordinary\nleadership of an airport CEO who best exemplifies the nine core competencies,\nincluding people practice expertise, relationship management, consultation,\nleadership and navigation, communication, global and cultural effectiveness,\nethical practice, critical evaluation, and business acumen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Photo above &#8211; From left are, Candace McGraw, CEO of the Cincinnati \/ Northern Kentucky International Airport and chair of ACI-NA, James E.
