\u201cOur\nentire chapter works hard each year to provide a fun event for people of all\nages.&nbsp; The purpose of the fly-in is to\nkeep these flying classics in the public eye.&nbsp;\nEveryone enjoys seeing the airplanes return each year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Antique Airplane Association was formed in 1953 for those with an interest in preserving airplanes, to &#8220;Keep the Antiques Flying&#8221;.&nbsp; The Texas Chapter has hundreds of members.&nbsp; \u201cYou don\u2019t have to own an airplane or be a pilot to be a member\u201d said Meanor.&nbsp; \u201cYou just have to love airplanes and have a desire to get involved.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp; The Chapter\u2019s purpose is to provide an opportunity for individuals of all types to enjoy friends and airplanes.&nbsp; See more at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.txaaa.org\">www.txaaa.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>More Pilot Proficiency Programs in 2019<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBased off of previous successful seminars, we are looking\nforward to delivering more this year\u201d said Meanor.&nbsp; The 2019 speakers includes AOPA Ambassador\nPat Brown, and FAASTeam Representative Brandon Ayers.&nbsp; This year\u2019s seminar topics include Weather\nChallenge, Safety Spotlight, Flying Clubs, and Pilot Proficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rare Birds Attend&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event draws in rarely seen aircraft.&nbsp; For example this year is a T-37 \u201cTweet\u201d from\nService Air Corps attending to honor veterans, as well as a full scale Sopwith\n1\u00c2\u00bd Strutter replica by Kip Aero, for the WW I aircraft enthusiasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with unique airplanes and seminars, the 57th Annual TX\nAAA Fly-In will include the Cheri King Band entertaining Friday evening.&nbsp; On Saturday; a pancake breakfast, exhibitors,\nhamburger lunch, aircraft judging, airplane parts sales, fuel coupon\ngive-a-ways and more\u201c\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese airplanes are a significant part of our heritage\u201d\nsaid Joel.&nbsp;
