The deadline for submission is September 30, 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pearl-Carter-Scott-Award.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13598\" width=\"308\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pearl-Carter-Scott-Award.jpg 1005w, https:\/\/stateaviationjournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pearl-Carter-Scott-Award-300x194.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Oklahoma Women in Aviation &amp; Aerospace Day in\npartnership with the Oklahoma Chapter of Ninety-Nines will be honoring three\nOklahoma women making important contributions to aviation and aerospace. The\nthree award winners will be recognized at the Oklahoma Women in Aviation and\nAerospace luncheon to be held November 1<sup>st<\/sup> inside the historical AAR\nhangar at Will Rogers World Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oklahoma Women in Aviation and Aerospace Day was enacted\nby the Oklahoma legislature in 2017 to honor Eula Pearl Carter Scott, along\nwith all women pilots, and aviation and aerospace professionals. Scott was born\nDecember 9, 1915 in Marlow, and was an enrollee of the Chickasaw Nation. Pearl\nlearned to fly at the age of 13 under legendary aviator Wiley Post. She became\nthe youngest pilot in the United States with her first solo flight in\n1929.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominees are being accepted for the Pearl Carter Scott\nOklahoma General Aviation Distinguished Service Award, the Geraldyn M.
